Small Business Web Site Assignment

Your team will create a simple web site for a small business such as a restaurant, clothing store, or book store. It can be a real or a made-up business.

For example, see this web page for the "Blue Jay Cafe", which doesn't really exist. Only the "Reviews" link goes anywhere.

Each team member will be responsible for one page on the web site.

Do these steps:

  1. Look at the small business web sites from the first semester. Click here for a link to last semester's small business web sites. Yours will be much better than these because you have five more week of web design experience.

  2. As a team, fill out the Design Worksheet. There is a copy in your team folder in the outbox. Look at this sample worksheet for an example of how to fill it out. Do not work on the web site until the worksheet is complete.

  3. Each team member makes one web page in Dreamweaver. Use the paper layout and the design worksheet to guide your page design.

You will be graded using this rubric. The first two items are graded as a team. The rest are graded for your individual page.
